Pastabos: 1) Iki 2003-05-01: nusikalstamos veikos = nusikaltimai. 2) Nuo 2003-05-01: įsigaliojo naujieji Lietuvos Respublikos Baudžiamasis kodeksas, Baudžiamojo proceso kodeksas ir Bausmių vykdymo kodeksas; pasikeitė nusikalstamų veikų registracijos ir apskaitos tvarka; nusikalstamos veikos = nusikaltimai + baudžiamieji nusižengimai. 3) Ištirtų nusikalstamų veikų dalis perskaičiuota pagal naują metodiką visiems turimiems duomenims. Tai ištirtų ir ataskaitiniu laikotarpiu užregistruotų nusikalstamų veikų santykis. 4) 1996-2006 m. duomenys perskaičiuoti naudojant gyventojų skaičių metų pradžioje.		Notes: 1) Until May 1, 2003: criminal offences = crimes. 2) From May 1, 2003: the following newly re-approved codes comes into effect: the Criminal Code, the Code of Criminal Procedure and the Penal Code of the Republic of Lithuania; criminal offences = crimes + misdemeanours. 3) Share of investigated criminal offences have been recalculated basing on the new methodology. It is a ratio of investigated criminal offences to criminal offences recorded during the accounting period. 4) The data of 1996-2006 year recalculated using the number of population as of 1 January.

2) Informatikos ir ryšių departamento prie VRM statistinės ataskaitos „Duomenys apie užregistruotus ir išaiškintus nusikaltimus, padarytus Lietuvos Respublikoje per 2001, ..., 2006 metų 12 mėnesių (Forma 2Ž-APSK)".
